Protecting Wi-Fi based home networks

The beauty of Wi-Fi Protected networks is that it lets you automatically create a WPA/WPA2-encrypted home network and easily add devices without inputting long passphrases/passcodes and have instant access to the services. However an invader can use brute-force methods to figure out the pre-shared key
in a quite short amount of time by exploiting the flaw, which has recently been revealed. But you don’t have to worry about it at all! The researchers are working on this and will come up with a practical solution.
For the time being, it is recommended that you only employ WPA2 (Wi-Fi Protected Access 2) encryption with a strong password, disable UPnP (Universal Plug and Play), and enable MAC (Media Access Control) address filtering for trustworthy nodes or devices and have fun!
