After the launch of Samsung’s Galaxy Note at IFA 2011 in Berlin, it was tough to foretell how it would be received by users. However, having a fairly good 5.3-inch display, the device is too small to be categorized as a tablet, yet almost too big to be categorized as a smartphone. But that hasn’t stopped Android lovers from shattering them up. Selling already 1 million Galaxy Notes during its first month of availability, Samsung has now confirmed that the handset has beaten 5 million ’Global Cumulative Sales Mark’ in its first 5 months.
The handset has established to be
the most widespread on Samsung’s home verdure, with 67% of its total worldwide
shipments making the company’s way to Korea. France, China and Spain added to
the largest share of purchases in overseas markets, endorsing the company’s claims
back in December that shipments were on
the rise in Europe and Asia including France, Germany, Hong Kong and
Taiwan.
The Galaxy Note is still yet to have
the Android 4.0(Ice Cream Sandwich) upgrade, despite of its popularity. The upgrade
has been delayed while Samsung develops a Premium
Pack for the handset that comes pre-loaded with a suite of applications. But,
there is still no confirmation from the company on when that pack will be available.
The enormous 5 million sales to
date of Galaxy Note answered well to its critics!
So if you own a Galaxy Note. Then
what do you think of it?
